Here are the Top 3 Features of this week’s fund
1. Long Term Investment
Cyclical sectors are expected to drive earnings recovery over the next 3 years after a decade of tepid earnings growth and the fund is positioned to capture this upcoming opportunity.
2. Balanced Portfolio
As in the previous quarter, the fund’s allocation towards leaders/challengers and emerging businesses remained roughly 55:45. This gives us a “balanced” portfolio comprising of stocks with higher growth potentials (as well as investor expectations) as well steady growth companies.
3. Leader/Challengers and Emerging businesses Philosophy
The focus of IDFC Sterling Equity Fund has been on building a portfolio of Leader/Challengers and Emerging businesses with an emphasis on bottom up stock selection. This segregation helps in easy management of risk & liquidity aspects of the portfolio.
